Never Used - Clearaudio Performance DC, Tracer Tonearm, and Essence MC Cartridge

Never used, never assembled, turntable package, containing Clearaudio’s Performance DC turntable, Tracer tonearm, Essence MC cartridge, and Dustcover.   All original manufacturer boxes, packing materials, accessories, and manuals are included and in brand new condition.

This package was purchased as part of a complete system build - pre/power, towers, subs, cables, and rack.  After assembling the deck on my rack with the other equipment, I decided to continue searching for something more “shiny” to match my other equipment.  The Performance DC deck is matte black, with a carbon black tonearm, and sliver cart.  This creates a matte “black on black” look with silver accents, and may fit neatly into your system.  

The Clearaudio Performance DC turntable and Tracer Tonearm are well reviewed online, and this package contains many of the same features in the more expensive Ovation and Innovation lines.  These features include:

• Clearaudio’s patented Ceramic Magnetic Bearing (CMB) bearing and inverted polished ceramic bearing shaft for frictionless operation


• Solid wood plinth sandwiched between heavy aluminum platters to isolate and decouple its powerful DC motor  


• Motor, pulley, and subplatter are integrated underneath the platter for a visually simplistic look 


• 40mm thick polyoxymethylene (aka Delrin) platter with weighted rim for reduced vibrational properties


• Electronic speed control


• Excellent Tracer tonearm is carbon fiber - increasing both rigidity and decreasing weight - and contains a jeweled bearing of sapphire and tungsten to reduce wear and increase longevity 


• Essence MC (moving coil) cartridge is pre-mounted and improves upon Clearaudio’s Concept MC cartridge for tonality, channel separation, dynamics, and musicality
