Quad II - 40 Monoblocks

Selling great set of Quad II - 40 tube monoblock amps. I am the second owner. These were for a set of 57’s that I had had restored, but I decided to both change their placement and add a REL sub.

This made using the monoblocks difficult, especially with how REL wanted them wired. So I switched amps and am putting these up for sale.

They have an output of 40w/ch

The tubes are all new, I changed the outputs to all Genelex Gold Lions, 2 per amp. The rectifiers are Slyvania Jan 5U4GB and the input tubes are RCA 6SH7’s in metal casings.

Sound is fantastic both with Quads and std speakers like Zu Def’s. They came with some small marks on the top of the output transformer due to the how the metal cover is positioned. Its very easy to touch that particular area and cause a mark. The marks are primarily on only one amp and have been touched up. The vial of paint used will be included in case you need it sometime in the future..

While with the amps in place, I doubt you will see little, I downgraded them to fair,. However, except for the marks, the amps are in fine shape and the sound is fantastic.

The hard rubber feet were replaced with much softer feet designed for the weight of the amp and made a noticeable difference in the sound clarity.
