This is a music centre where one can play cassettes, CD and vinyl records.  It has a radio facility.  It has a 3 CD section where one can play CDs.  There are two cassette decks whereby cassette tapes can be played.  The vinyl turntable is perfect for playing 12 or 7 inch vinyl records.  It can play vinyl records of 45 and 33 rpm.  
RPM stands for revolution per minute. 33 and 45 rpm is the speed at which the vinyl record spins in revolutions per minute.  The turntable has a needle to play the record.  The cassette tape is an analogue magnetic tape recording format for audio recording and playback.  Once the cassette is placed in the tape recorder, the magnetic tape inside the cassette passes round the 5 magnetic heads.  Each magnetic head re aligns the particle of the tape in patterns that correspond to the loudness and frequency of sound.  CD is a digital disc data storage format which was developed by Philips and Sony in 1982.  The CD drive shines a laser at the surface of the CD.  It can detect the reflective areas and the bumps by the amount of laser light they reflect.  The CD drive converts the reflections into 1s and 0s to read disc digital data.  Any music genre can be played on the turntable, cassette and CD.  
This item has a 4 pin plug.  The three pin plug is used in Ireland, Malta, Malaysia and Singapore as well as the United Kingdom.  Anyone who lives outside those countries would need an adapter suited to their country which would be able to play this item.  This music centre is accompanied by an instruction manual and a remote control.  Batteries are required for the remote control.  
This item is in a very good condition and there are no marks or scratches.  The turntable, CD and cassette desk as well as the radio plays well.
