Component History...

Just recently purchased this VAC  Standard Limited Edition Tube Preamplifier from the Original Owner. I am only parting with it due to finding the same Model with the Gold Control Knobs which will match my VAC PA 100/100 Amplifier. If you are in as deep as to the "Audio Addiction " as I am then of course this all makes sense...lol 

As with all the VAC Components the fit and finish of this Limited Edition Preamplifier is quite stunning . It just has that certain feel and look of a High End Audio Component. You would have to spend 2 to 3 times as much today to match the quality of it. In speaking directly with the wonderful owner of VAC Kevin Hayes as to this component the LE version had point to point hand wiring and other upgraded internal parts caps etc...

Cosmetically...I rated it 8/10 it there is a slight blemish (chip) atop the faceplate. As the photos will show its been well cared for . It has been in a smoke, pet and child free environment its entire life. The Remote and Separate Power Supply are in similar condition as well.

Operationally...It works flawlessly all the inputs and outputs at the back of the unit are of high audiophile standards as to there manufacturing. The internal layout of the quality parts has been all done by hand .

 As well this Tube Preamplifier is a tube lovers delight as to the rolling of the pairs of both 12AX7 & 12AU7 tubes to tailor the sound you are looking for  according to your system. Having a Gain of 24db. 

This VAC Preamp is very neutral as to let the music play thru your systems components sound signature. It does not get in the way of the music nor color it .

 In my humble opinion I do believe this beautiful tubed preamp's neutrality can give you more flexibility as to creating the soundstage dimensionally you are seeking in your system matching the quality of your systems components synergy to your liking...

 Its two system Outputs and Six System Input Options including a CINE Input as well as a separate pair of Tape In and Out RCA's make this a preamplifier of immense versatility and convenience for the discerning Audiophile. 

This Preamplifier does not have the optional phono stage...

This VAC Preamp has been well reviewed  I truly believe is now a true Audiophile bargain in todays market compared to Hi End Tube Preamps in the $4,000 to $7,000 price range.
