This amp was purchased from Audio Classics in 2014. Since then It has been in a clean, smoke-free environment. The front glass was replaced with McIntosh glass by Audio classics. I rate it 7/10 due to the tiny nicks and a scratch shown in the photos. The amp functions perfectly.
The MC-162 does not have AutoFormer transformers. It has one set of speaker taps, and is rated to deliver 100w @ 8 ohms and 160w @ 4 ohms. The channels may be bridged to yield 320w @ 8 ohms or 500w @ 4 ohms. For full specs, go to <https://audio-database.com/MCINTOSH/amp/mc162-e.html>.
The original manual and power cord are included. All ten front panel lamps were replaced by an authorized McIntosh dealer last month at a cost of $270.00.
The amp will ship in the Audio Classics double box pictured. There is foam rubber padding and bubble wrap between the outer and inner box. The amp is attached to a board and fully surrounded with bubble wrap and cardboard in the inner box.
