Auralic Vega G2

Excellent "Streaming DAC" from Auralic.  Perfect one-box solution for streaming audio from home libraries and streaming services.  Works great with Roon.

The Vega G2 is basically a DAC that includes an ethernet connection (RJ45), which allows connection to a home network and to the internet.  Auralic has its own very good software which allows playback from your music library stored either on your home network or on an attached USB drive.  And you can access whatever streaming service you want (Tidal, Qobuz, etc.).
Works great as a Roon endpoint.  If you are already running Roon core on your network, just plug the Vega in and you have terrific sound and the Roon integration of your home library and streaming service.
DAC (USB, Coax etc.) is excellent, up to PCM 32/384 and DSD 512 (native).
Output is XLR and RCA and two headphone jacks.  Nice volume control so you can drive a power amp directly, or set the volume as fixed and run through a preamp.  There is also a single analog input
Part of the Auralic G2 series where you can add on a dedicated streamer, clock and processor to create a stack.  Note this is a Vega G2, not a G2.1.  The difference is the case work; the G2.1 has a more elaborate case; the G2 will work with G2.1 units.  The Vega G2.1 lists for $7,189, the G1 series is $4,289.
All in all, a great piece of kit with a lot of versatility.  There are lots of reviews on the web.  Darko.audio has a pretty thorough one.  There is also a good support community if you need help.
Original owner.  Purchased October, 2019.  Tiny mark at bottom left of display area. The matte black finish shows fingerprints, scuffs easily (probably why they include gloves), depending on the light angle.  Selling because trading up to a different DAC.
