Sonus Faber Cremona Auditor M, maple finish, with original stands. I purchased these, a pair of Sonus Faber Toy Towers, and a pair of Genelecs in 2013, unboxed and
broke them in at my office (non-smoking, no sunlight) for 3 weeks, then
re-boxed them in preparation for my move out of state. 7 years, a new
house, a remodel, and all of the pairs are still in my closet, so I think
it's time they found a new home. The Toy Towers sold last month, now it's the Auditor's turn. I have rated them a 9/10 to be conservative, but they have been out of the boxes for 3 weeks while I broke them in, and about the same now that I have been listening to them and deciding if I should keep them. Other than that, they've been boxed up. They have never had anything set on them, and never seen the sun. The bottom of each stand has a very small blemish, which is in the photos, where I think our cleaning crew bumped the stand with a vacuum. Otherwise, I do not see anything - they look just like they came out of the boxes.
Now that I have had a chance to listen to them for a while, they do not work well in my Media Room. The room is very absorptive - acoustic panels, carpet, and deep sectional. In this room, their bass is very strong, but the highs get lost, though the detail is very good. When I had these set up in my office, which was a very "Conventional" room, with blinds on the windows and thin industrial carpet, they were awesome. I listened to these in my rec room, which is also a "Conventional" room, and they sound really good. They have amazing bass for their size, really smooth highs, with good detail, but soft in level. They are not very efficient, so if you're a headbanger, these are probably not for you. They are also 4ohm. I have used them with both Bryston 9BST and Parasound Halo A21 amplifiers, with a Bryston BP20 preamp, and I think I preferred the Parasound amp, but liked both. I am happy to talk to prospective buyers at length about their sound, so let me know if you have any questions.
I have all of the original boxes, manual, and dust covers. These are in two boxes (One for speakers, one for the stands). I've left shipping open, but it will probably be around $250 to continental U.S., in the original boxes.
