Marantz Esotec Pm-6a Integrated Amplifier
Just back from technician checkout at Art’s Service in Cincinnati. The Pm-6a is in stellar condition and is beautiful sounding. Far superior to the Accuphase E202 integrated which is a classic in its own right and which I also owned. Considered better sounding than bigger brother PM-8 which if you can find it sells for between 2k - 3k. Compare this against Luxman 590AXII at 9k for very similar performance. Today, the Pm-6a would retail for 6k or more.
From the vintage knob: “The Pm-6a probably is the classiest of all Esotecs.” 30W pure class A with 120W class AB. Can drive anything and the sweet Class A sounds great on efficient speakers.
This PM-6a is the 100V version and requires a small 500W voltage converter for NAmerica (110V-120V) voltage and which I am including.in the sale. Also included is your choice of W-77 cabinets, mahogany (some imperfections) or walnut (perfect). $150 off if you don’t want or need a cabinet (but it is super classy with a cabinet).
Not another one like this in North America. The price is $1250 + shipping. I will pack very well. Interesting trade offers can be considered.
