Spendor SP1/2R2 (Rare Macassar Ebony Veneer!!)

Available for sale are a pair of Spendor SP1/2R2 in an
extremely rare Macassar Ebony Veneer.

To start, I would like to offer two quotes from Mr. Robert
Greene, who has pretty much reviewed every Spendor Classic speaker since 1978: 

“If you spend a lot of time around live music and have a
vivid memory of the literal sound of music itself, you may well find the
experience of listening to the SP1/2R2 a return to the real world of music.”

“Everyone interested in audio ought to take a serious listen
to the SP1/2R2s, just to explore the boundaries of the possible in stereo that
this type of speaker illustrates, not to mention its neutrality”

The speakers are in 7.9/10 condition, buts that’s based on an
extremely conservative rating. They are approximately 8-years and have minor
imperfections due to age (mostly on the bottom due to stands). I’ve tried to
take some really high-resolutions images so once judge for themselves. The
grills are in perfect condition.  

Performance-wise these are a SOLID 10/10! To prove this, I’ve
included the acoustic and electrical measurements of both speakers. The
response measurements were taken with a professionally calibrated (Cross
Spectrum Labs) microphone. As you can see – they are nearly bang-on! This level
of QC is what Spendor is known for and what contributes to the 3-dimensionality
of the sound stage.

Ideally, I would love a local price. This would give the opportunity
to any buyer to fully inspect before purchase. I do have the original
shipping boxes, so shipping too can be arranged. It's just scary shipping such
heavy boxes. 

I have tried to price these to sell quickly (and much lower than Audiogon Bluebook or other recently completed sales)
