This is a rare F1 Direct Coupled version of the Cary 300 SEI

This unit is also an excellent headphone amplifier for my pair of Focal Utopia Headphones. I am selling because I've upgrade to a pair of Focal Kanta 3's that needs a lot of power to drive.  If you have efficient speakers this Integrated Amp will make them sing beautifully.
Silver Faceplate with Deep Dark Blue Chasis

This higher end unit has modifications done in house by Cary Audio.

Its a wonderful sounding unit, and not to mention easy on the eyes.
Its slightly faster than the stock Cary 300 SEI with more refinement all around, along with a speeding up and firming up of the bass and slightly more detail retrieval.

Here is a list from the web site on f1 differences:

Jensen oil and copper capacitors: Gives you the midrange we crave by giving you a more pleasing midband, while increasing clarity & texture.

Hexfreds in the power supply: Results in better pitch and definition especially when music becomes complex, and is most helpful in the bass arena.

CD input wired with Kimber Kable: We could actually do all of them, but it could get quite expensive. So we did one input and you put your most critical component there.

WBT Speaker terminals: Other folks will always refer to "WBT Style" terminals. These are the real ones which cost many times more, but hey dude… it's where your speakers get the music.
Small blemish on the rear of one of the transformer cover see last photo ( it cannot be seen from the front of the amplifier) and small mark near rear left speaker terminal see second to last photo (not able to be seen from the front).
The stock Cary Tubes will be included with the unit.  The three tube resonate reducers see in the photo on the smaller tubes will not be included.  It will come with a pair of Cary 300B and three Cary 6SN7 tubes.  Stock tubes have a lot of life left and should be good for several more years as I run the unit with upgrade Sophia tubes.  Bias will be adjusted with stock Cary tubes to ensure excellent operation.  Should you feel you need to check the bias.  The Cary Audio bias adjustment cable will be included and all you need to do is hook it up to a volt meter.

The tubes will be shipped separately in another box for safe shipping because the unit is quite heavy at 51 lbs.
