2-Speed Direct-Drive Turntable

The Sony PS-X75 is a 2-speed, direct driven turntable with Biotracer electronically controlled tonearm.

The horizontal and vertical movement is monitored by the biotracer's own sensors, and this information is transmitted to the tonearm by linear motors to suppress resonance at low frequencies and to obtain the maximum signal to noise ratio.

As the stylus force is electronically controlled by a knob on the front panel, it can be easily adjusted during record play.

The proper anti-skating force is automatically applied when the stylus force is set.

Record size is set by a photo sensor system; if no record is on the turntable, the tonearm will not descend but will return to the arm rest.

An optical sensor detects a record's lead-in and return points and the linear motor guides the tonearm quietly to the precise position.

The PS-X75 maintains an accurate and drift-free speed by referring to a frequency generated by a very stable crystal oscillator, and with the aid of a speed monitoring system which utilises a magnetic pick-up head and a pulse signal derived from a magnetic coating at the edge of the platter.

An electronic brake system stops the turntable quickly and smoothly.

Everything works as it should. Please take notice, the extra Counter weight "never used it, and never needed to used it", has  been long lost/gone forever, and not included with the turntable.  If you feel that you will need the extra counterweight,  you will have to search separately to make the purchase of the Disc/Counter weight.

It's amazing how well this turntable tracks your LP. and with that, it sounds so wonderful. I have a video of the turntable in my system, showing and testing every/all buttons to make sure everything works as it should.
