The unit is in excellent physical condition EXCEPT for a problem with the Firewire A connector. Someone inserted the cable backwards and ruined the connector. This also affected the operation of the DAC202 overall. The happened once before in 2014 and the unit was repaired by Weiss for a few hundred dollars. The unit however needs to be sent to Switzerland for service.

| Did it effect operation of any of the other inputs or just Firewire?. It does affect the operation. When I spoke with the creator of the unit, he tells me that it is not just an input polo device. It is integrated into the whole system and the system will have to be overhauled. Have you are going to have to spend the money to have it repaired if you want to use it. |
