Linn Genki

Linn Genki - essentially in original factory condition. Works perfectly, and looks near pristine, still has the original protective plastic film covering the display! Being the original owner have kept the original box, all accompanying packaging materials and owners manual...a non-smoker home.
If you are a Linn enthusiast or have been following Linn over the years you know the reputation that proceeds their products. The Genki was a well received and reviewed CD / HDCD player with Burr-Brown PCM 1792 DAC, offering tremendous flexibility of use and ability to play HDCD discs. Genki is highly capable, expressive, involving and sonically correct player, checking many of the typical audiophile boxes like rhythm, pace, soundstage, instrument placement, accurate bass, and ability to uncover all the subtle nuances a recording may offer! 
Again, very well reviewed for the value it offered at the price point! Believe it goes without saying, there is likely no other CD player that has offered the level of flexibility for installation and uses. With the fixed output it can be connected like most any other CD player to a receiver, preamp, or integrated Amp which control volume. Then with the variable output that's where Genki stands alone....providing the ability to connect directly to an Amp whereby the Genki controls volume along with L/R balance levels; or just connect directly to a pair powered active speakers and you've got a sweet sounding compact system for a den, bedroom, or office! Then not to mention there are actually 2-sets of fixed and variable outputs offering even more flexibility!!  
Was tempted to list as mint, however upon very close inspection found 2 small nearly imperceptible marks on the top beveled edge of the faceplate. Tried to take a good pic of these, however they only show up in certain light when viewed from a particular angle. Due to brightness of camera flash, it actually amplifies and distorts the severity....whereas in actuality, with naked eye the discoloration change is very faint, not darker, very hard to pick out. (see pic with 2 tiny darker colored marks) These discolored marks cannot be felt with a finger, therefore are not scratches, more like a discoloration or what might call a watermark, thus feel these existed originally from the factory when painted and never noticed. (view photo #5 which is more natural, even enlarging the pic, the marks are still virtually indiscernible)
Full disclosure for transparency - any imperfections seen on the display are merely air pockets or edges of the protective film, once removed will disappear...while the box is showing as a little worse for wear on the outside, the inside is perfectly fine....will be double boxed for shipping to ensure arrives safely. (note: 1 of the pictures (white background) is stock photo, the others are pics of the actual CD player offered)  Along with the CD unit, you'll receive everything seen in the pics, including the remote, owners manual, power cord, original box and packaging. Finished in black, it essentially presents in factory fresh condition and appearance, you will not be disappointed....good luck bidding!!!
