ELAC Uni-Fi UB52

I purchased this pair directly from ELAC on April 26, 2021. This is my second pair as I sold my first pair upon the mistaken belief that I would find a better sounding pair of speakers. When that didn't happen, I purchased this pair directly from ELAC. I unboxed them and put them on the speaker stands in my office and hooked them up to my Schiit Vidar amplifier. I have never used the grills and the speakers have never been touched or moved since. I am the only one who goes in my office and I haven't been there very much in the last 6 months. This is a mint pair of UB52's and they are one of the best speakers I have ever listened too. It is full range (as long as you have sufficient power), dynamic, transparent and neutral with outstanding sound stage and imaging focus. The center image is incredibly dialed in and deep. I primarily look for musicality, sound stage size and imaging focus to give me that there-there experience and these speakers achieve that goal at an unbelievably low price. I have recently listened to all of the following competitive speakers in my office (after appropriate break-in time): Revel Concerta2 M16s, Elac Debut 2.0 B6.2's, B&W 606 Anniversary Ed., B&W 607 Anniversary Ed., KEF Q350's, Dali Oberon 3's and Focal Chora 806's. The UB52's are clearly the best overall speaker out of this lot at least in my office.

I have used these speakers with my Schiit Vidar and I used my previous pair with a Rogue Sphinx V3 and NuPrime IDA-8. The UB52's sound great with all of those but it is a particularly sweet match with the Schiit. The only reason I am selling is to buy the new Uni-Fi Reference speakers.
