Troels Gravesen's Illuminator 5 Speakers

Hi folks,

I'm selling my beloved Troels Gravesen Illuminator 5's. Here's some details:

• The top section and the crossovers were made by Troels Gravesen himself (they are the exact pair shown on his website), and were imported from Denmark.
  
• The four woofers, cabinet materials, and upgraded beryllium tweeters were purchased afterward.
  
• The lower section was CNC machined (will include the CNC file), and then I built the cabinets.
  
• My craftsmanship is not as great as Troel's. I would recommend painting the speakers with an automotive finish rather than seeing my imperfections and slight mismatch of the wood finish. I have a painter in the Bay Area I can recommend.
  

Thus far I've spent $6500 on this build not including labor ($4k for top section + crossovers from Troels, $600 for BE tweeters, $1900 for 22W+26W woofers + cabinet materials), but am asking for less. Open to reasonable, serious, offers. Will include speaker spikes on the outriggers, but otherwise am selling "as-is".

You may be curious what I'm moving to: I've settled on a pair of Wilson Audio Sophia 3’s and a pair of REL 212SX’s (it required $26k MSRP, or $17k used, to beat these two speakers with no change in the front end electronics). The Wilson's required subwoofers, where these Illuminators did not. Why? Yes, it does sound better to have real Wilson's + REL subwoofer rather than Troels. Is it worth the $10k extra... honestly, probably not.
