Garrard 301

Selling my treasured Garrard 301 turntable with the much-coveted grease bearing, in gloss black, on gloss palisander base (a similar look to the Artisan Fidelity version). Comes with the SME 3009 Series II *unimproved* tone arm (the preferred 3009 for idlers because they can accommodate heavier carts).

This table has been lovingly restored and is in fine condition.
- The motor has been disassembled, cleaned, and the bushings repacked with oil.
- The spindle has been completely cleaned of old grease and repacked with synthetic grease of the appropriate weight.
- The spindle has no flat spots, the table runs evenly
- The chassis was professionally repainted with automotive paint.
- The chassis is mounted to the table with custom 304 stainless polished screws
- The electrical wiring has been replaced with a modern, fused cord
- The SME arm has new Amphenol RCA connectors installed. 
- The arm comes with its original headshell (not shown), and its original box, packaging, and instructions.

This table sounds great! With the right cartridge, it has incredible drive and fantastic, real timbre that easily beats out any DAC. I am selling it because I am leaving vinyl altogether, and while I hope one day to get back to it, I have no place to store this table in the interim.

Like virtually all 301s, this table runs slightly fast on 120V if set at normal, but can be made to run at the correct speed by adjusting the speed setting within the available adjustment range. No cartridge is included with this listing—though I have one if you want to buy separately. There is a scratch on the back corner of the plinth which is visible in bright light but otherwise goes unnoticed (see photos).
