Acoustat Model 3

A late issue pair of Acoustat Model 3 full range electrostatic speakers featuring Medallion Magne-Kinetic interfaces.  Very nice shape as well, a small nick or two near the base, but quite good overall.  The "sock" fabric has never had the unfortunately experience of cats.  

Often compared to Magenpan, and sonically similar in many ways.  Both speakers deliver an "out of the box" experience, with life size imaging. Transients are lightening fast.  A key difference over Maggies, is that these panels do not fail.  No glue to rot.  Nothing is attached to the diaphragm.  Another key difference is that the model 3 delivers satisfying bass.  Only Tympani level Maggies could compete.  Tube amps are a fantastic combination, but they can be driven to impressive levels my a very modest hafler 220.
