Specially Tuned Components Elevate CD11 Tribute: Rotel CD Player Engineered with Hands-On Support from Iconic Designer Ken Ishiwata, Provides Smooth, Detailed, and Clear Sound
Engineered with hands-on support from Ken Ishiwata, the Rotel CD11 Tribute CD player honors the legendary audio designer’s legacy while providing remarkable-sounding playback of CDs. Built to conform to Ishiwata’s vision and in prototype form when he passed away, CD11 Tribute uses a customized selection of specially tuned components to supply stellar clarity, dynamics, acoustics, and details from your collection.
Credit also goes to an assortment of key changes to the power supply, DAC circuitry, and signal path – all enhanced from those of its popular predecessor, CD11. For example, nine capacitors were changed in the power stage alone; another eight got switched in the DAC section. Also onboard: Rotel’s proven tray-loading disc mechanism, a Texas Instruments 24-bit/192kHz DAC, and balanced design topology.
To further ensure quiet operation and intended transparency, CD11 Tribute arrives housed in a chassis afforded extra internal damping and advanced mechanical grounding. Resonance-resistant feet supply a stable base. RCA analog and coaxial digital outputs and a remote control complete a component true to Ishiwata’s heritage.
