Doge Audio DAC 7

Presenting the masterful Doge 7 MK2 tube DAC. This unique DAC has received numerous positive reviews for its velvet like finesse. This special unit not only incorporates high quality Clarity capacitors (ESA), but has been enhanced by implementing ultra-expensive Duelund bypass capacitors (.01uf 600Vdc JDM-Cu pure copper foil). The Duelund caps are seen in red, on top of the Clarity Caps, in silver.  To further maximize the performance, I replaced the 4 X 12AX7 stock tubes, with Tung Sol 1912 Russian tubes. More importantly, the 2 X 12AT7 stock tubes, have been replaced with the famed Bugle Boy Amperex ECC51 tubes. I will provide the original tubes, just in case you wish to tube roll. Subjectively, these upgrades improved the liquidity of the mid-band, and was worth the additional cost and effort. Note: This DAC can be classified as a power DAC, as it was engineered to provide adequate gain, and volume adjustments by the aluminum machined remote; nevertheless, as many extreme audiophiles are aware, adding a pre-amplifier will only magnify the sound stage presence. And yes, the unit does support DSD files.

As you may, or may not know, these Doge 7 DACs are encountering supply chain challenges, due to the pandemic, and they are facing a large queue for builds. In additional, given international shipping, and customs, there may be varying delay of when your new unit will arrive.
