Shunyata Research Anaconda Vx Power Cord 15 amp, 6 foot length

For sale here is a 6 foot, 15 amp Shunyata Anaconda VX Power Cord in great condition (age considered - normal wear at the plugs). This power cord is exceptional on power amps and integrated amps (solid state or tubed – this cord loves them all). But where the VX version really amazes is on digital source components (CD players, DACs, and DVD players). And, yes, it has the magic dust inside that sounds like a hissing snake when the cable is moved. Although the cable is huge, it is amazingly flexible (it’s like a Slinky toy from the 50’s) and easy to work with, even in tight spaces.

The Anaconda will ship in its original box (a little wear from being in my attic) and the original plastic sleeve to protect the black sheathing.

I’ve had two of these great cords in my system for several years – one on my DAC and one on my CD player. They brought an immediate sense of space, authority, detail, air, and holographic imaging. As the cables cooked-in every aspect of the audio presentation improved – bass became deeper and much more defined, the human voice took on a lifelike timber and breath, acoustic guitars had that real pluck and strum of a live performance, pianos actually sounded like pianos with the pounding of felt hammers on a metal strings, and the highs had a light shimmer and focused placement.

I’m replacing my CD player/DAC combo with an up-sampling CD player, and will no longer need both cords. Here’s a great opportunity to grab a wonderful power cord that seldom shows up for sale. It’s the type of cord you’ll keep for life.

“The Anaconda VX occupies the top rung on the Noise-Reduction power cord ladder and at a retail of $1,995, is not for the faint of heart or the light of wallet. Like the other Noise-Reduction cables, the Black Mamba v2 and the Python, the Anaconda VX makes extensive use of Shunyata's patent-pending FeSi-1000 passive noise isolating material in order to do its thing, which according to the Shunyata website is to "restore the texture, dimension and spatial cues in sound and video that are often obscured by EMI and RFI noise" (italics Shunyata's). “This power cord can only be described as an eye opener for me. I have been using aftermarket power cords for a little while now and did not expect the level of improvement that this power cord brought. Once fully settled in after movement (about 1 to 2 weeks) this power cord never ceases to amaze me at the way music is presented with it in the chain. It is simply a must on good source. Despite its exorbitant cost (even used) I believe this cord is worth the money ... yeah I think I've lost my mind. After hearing the Anaconda VX on my Audio Aero mkII SE CD Player, I want to buy one more alpha for the Whest Audio DAP and another for the YBA Passion amp ... they are simply that good. Money concerns went out the window after hearing it. Strengths:
Are you kidding? There are only strengths with this cord, just give it enough time to fully settle in and use it with a Shunyata hydra; this cord cannot be judged after inserting it into a system because it sounds nowhere near its true potential ... patience will reward greatly here.

It makes you want more Anacondas!
