The 2500 model uses a fully passive mains filter divided into four progressive filtering cells on the neutral and live conductors, in addition to two progressive filtering cells on the ground line. Instead of a fuse, Black Noise uses a re-settable thermal switch capable of handling high turn-on surge current peaks generated by devices such as power amplifiers while at the same time protecting the filter from continuous loads exceeding its rated current The BLUE LED turns off when thermal protection kicks in.
