More and more are realizing the benefits of a balanced power supply, a technology that Equitech pioneered. Intended originally for professional studios, balanced power supplies have found wide acceptance in the audiophile community as a superior means of power conditioning. It combines the benefits of a large isolation transformer with a center tap to ground, giving you two legs of AC which are 180 degrees out of phase with respect to one another and with respect to ground so that your ground currents cancel out. This results in the blackest of backgrounds with noticeably richer dynamic contrasts and greatly benefits both digital and analog equipment. Balanced power supplies will compete favorably against almost anything else and is considerably more efficient than an AC regenerator.
The Son of Q is non-current limiting up to 15A with an output capacity of 1500VA. Because of the oversized transformer used, it weighs a solid 60 lbs, is built robustly like a tank and is designed to last a lifetime.
This Son of Q was purchased new from Equitech in February 2016 with 2-year warranty still in full effect. It is in pristine condition and comes with original packaging. My asking price will include shipping to U.S. or Canada as well as PayPal fees.
