I did days of research on all  these devices, and name after name of the most respected and expensive units available, and My conclusion was 98% are all alike, regardless of price.  None were 'series mode' protection ( like a fuse).  They all use MOVs ( Metal Oxide Varistors) which were invented  by GE to take the spark from relay contacts so they didn't break down and arc.  These MOVs act in slow motion.  They die a little bit every time the feel a surge, until they stop working altogether and your equipment then has no protection.  No more MOVs, no matter who makes the equipment or what fancy do-dads they add in the hokas pokas circuits and sales ads that are at the 'audiophile' front door knocking with promises.  You would be dumb founded reading the names.

I don't care who makes the unit or what fancy claims they make, or how many thousands they are priced at, there are only three units on the market that let ZERO volts/amps reach you equipment: ZeroSerge, BrickWall and SergeX...a patent is a patent.  That is it, all the rest will fail to protect your gear.  Of these three, Only Surgex has the rating of A-1-1 the highest designation. These have a Federal certification of Grade A, Class 1, Mode 1 (CID A-A-55818), the highest protection possible...does yours? My failed $1,000  unit didn't, and UL meant nothing.

Investigate, that is what I did.  I don't need to investigate again or buy anything else.  If it is good enough for computer server farms, professional music studios, Carnegie Hall, and many more, then I know I am in good company.   They are not fooled by promises.

These are new in a sealed box, I have three and will list as suitable.  You are buying one for $225.00.  You can also go to Amazon or ebay and find them for $419.00 + -.

Plug your existing 'protector conditioner' unit into this (or even a $10 power strip) and have up to 20 amps of superior service to your equipment.

Please note you need a 20 amp receptacle as shown in the photo ( plug and receptacle have the slit 90 degrees on the hot pin).  If you don't have that pin configuration then you will need to go buy the 20 amp receptacle at Home Depot or where ever.  Your circuit breaker should be 20 amp.

Look at these specs, and believe that I hear complete blackness where it should be, micro details that surges and 'switching power supplies' pollution masked.
