BLACK NOISE Model Eight AC Power Distributor

The Black Noise Model Eight Power Distributor can be used in conjunction with a Black Noise filters (see my other Black Noise posts) to increase the number of available AC power outlets when powering multiple component system configurations.  It is also a sophisticated filter that is used to protect against AC Line pollution such as AC Line voltage distortion, noise and other abnormalities. This product also offers surge protection. What sets the Model Eight apart is that the outlets are wired in a Star configuration and not serially as is the most common configuration offered more commonly. In this configuration the three wires dedicated to each of the eight outlets emanate at the IEC inlet connector. In this manner each outlet is connected directly to the AC line eliminating mutual interference among the eight outlets.

The Model Eight defends against voltage spikes, disruptive spikes, and surge events from 250V ac and up, with an activation delay of less than 25ns. This protection has been specifically designed to absorb up to 25,000 amps for pulse events between 8 and 20 micro seconds, or 640 amps up to 2ms between live and neutral, and also live and neutral and also between neutral/ground and live/ground.
