Receptacle in original box, not used. Contacts are Beryllium Copper with Platinum and palladium platings. This is a premium, tight grip receptacle, especially good on digital equipment. Many users prefer the R-1 on amplifiers to reveal finer detail of instruments and recording venue. Has strong bass for audio, not thinned out bass. Video has slightly stronger contrasts. excellent for an A/V receiver plus subwoofer.
