The legend and the photos tell the story. I've used this wonderful amp to passively bi-amp a pair of Martin Logan Prodigy speakers. The configuration used an A-50 for each speaker, 1 channel for the woofer and 1 channel for the panel.A more beautifully designed and manufactured product than a large Accuphase power amp is hard to find. Note the incredible binding posts.I'm currently using a single A-50 to power a pair of Martin Logan CLX Art speakers. The amplifier is able to exert incredible control over any loudspeaker attached. It may be bridged for 200W of Class A power into a single load.A useful feature is the pair of continuously adjustable level controls that allows the level of the woofer to be varied in relation to the mid/high drivers for a passively biamped configuration. The amplifier has worked flawlessly for me over the last 10 yrs and has never required service. It has been used in a well ventilated and smoke free installation and the excellent product design allows for a relatively cool inner chassis operation with most heat pulled to the external heatsinks. While rated at 50W, the headroom is impressive at several hundred watt peaks as indicated by the true RMS power display. The minor cosmetic flaws on the face plate are highlighted by the two faceplate detail images. These were present when I acquired the amplifiers from an authorized Accuphase dealer. Note the small scratch on the upper left faceplate top edge and the small nicks (I never noticed until photographing in bright light) along the right faceplate edge.
