Here is the Adcom GFA5802 power amplifier, it is the best high power amplifier from Adcom. The GFA5802 pushes 300W at 8 ohms, 450W at 4 ohms and like their top of the line product, the 5802 is made in USA! It is one of the amplifiers that built a rock solid reputation for Adcom after their famous Adcom GFA555 MK II (which still runs $350-$400 used and almost 15 years older than the GFA5802). Adcom had Nelson Pass, one of the greatest audio designer at all time to design the 5802 and rest assure it sounds as great and musical as his Pass Labs amplifiers, at a fraction of the price. With the GFA5802, you can assure it will drive a wide range of speaker with aplomb and give you the total control of the woofers. The condition of the GFA5802 is excellent, the refined, unmatched built quality (look at that huge transformer), and sexy look with the array of heatsink is just as appealing as it sounds, I will ship it in an Pass amplifier box and packaging to ensure safe shipping. | This unit is still for sale, right? I was wondering how you rated this amp for music. I'm looking for something warm, not tubes, but not harsh like some of the parasound amps. This thing is massive! What size breaker did you use for the outlet you plugged it into? Will 15A be enough? Thanks man. still have it for now, like I said it is designed by Nelson Pass and you know Nelson is famous for his creation of amp that sound musical and live(look at this early Pass Aleph series and Threshold SA series). The 5802 is no exception. I plug it to outlet with 15A breaker and works fine. |
