Well, we all know this doesn't have all the latest decoding schemes, but either in a DVD-based system, or a Bluray setup that has analog outputs (the Adcom does have two 5.1ch auxiliary inputs), it sounds surprisingly good. Of course it could be used in plain stereo mode, in which case it will sound better than any $400 preamp anywhere. Still has the original cellophane on the display, very low hours.
