You won't need to wait for the economy to recover before upgrading your system with this outstanding, yet affordable audio rack! It looks great and out-performs competitive products costing much more.
Sharing design elements from our Signature Series as well as Reference Series racks, this model incorporates a more traditional rectangular shaped frame. Also, it has a slightly smaller, space-efficient footprint, yet it still accepts components up to 19.5 inches wide. The independent platform support system allows the platform height to be infinitely adjustable. This rack is a lower-cost alternative to our Zero GR4 and GX4 flagship models.
This rack is intended for use in moderate to high-end systems and includes one 19x24 inch platform and three 18x18 platforms. Standard platforms are trimmed in black, also available with platforms trimmed in solid cherry for a small additional charge.
As with many Adona rack designs this model is unique in regards to the way we combine t-slot aluminum with custom-fabricated components in an attempt to "break away" from the typical industrial "machinery-frame" look. And better yet, this departure from simply using "off-the-shelf" parts, allows us complete freedom to refine the performance of our products, without limitation.
Much like our other models, these racks are unique in their use of our "shelf support system", a term and concept developed by Adona several years ago to describe the integration of a coupling/de-coupling mechanism within a structural member, such that it could be relied on as a single entity. The columns, with virtually no dependency on the horizontal frame-beams, support the weight of each platform. The frame beams simply maintain the columns in
a stable, vertical position while contributing little else. Sonically, this approach is of great advantage, and cosmetically, it's just another attempt by Adona to create a "frame-less" audio rack! The "shelf support system" used with this particular model is of a cantilever design, custom-machined from solid billet aluminum, which takes advantage of the fact that applying a torque-load to the column at various points, alters the resonance nodes of the frame. The exact position is not critical, which allows for "infinitely-adjustable" shelf spacing.
As leaders in the development of new technologies for the audio community, we are often intrigued (but not so surprised anymore) just how quickly our competition tends to re-write their wording every time we publish a new ad. Please guys, we're not Burger King, we are just some small-town operation, searching for fresh new ideas and a way to earn a living! With it's extremely heavy-duty construction, the Zero SR4 is one "beefy" rack,(oops,...sorry!).
The winds of change are blowing again, so watch the waves!
List price: $1560.00 with standard 18 by 18 black bottom platforms.
For $1985.00 you can have it upgraded with cherry-trimmed platforms and one over-sized 19 x 24 platform, as shown in photo!
