There’s an old saying around town that if you’re mediocre, they call you “great”; if you’re good, they call you a “genius”; and if you’re a genius, they don’t call you.

The centerpiece of the album, “Growing Up In Hollywood Town,” is a collaboration between Amanda and myself. We had a good time reminiscing about many things, funny and sad, from our very different childhoods in Hollywoo. Most of my memories were of city life around town in the forties which included trolly cars rides for a nickel and celebrity studded radio shows that were free. Amaanda’s memories are of later times, a sunny childhood in San Fernando Valley and a fascination with the movies. We had in common the crazy world of professional children, with auditions and high hopes; for everyone in Hollywood secretly or openly hopes that one day he will be tapped on the shoulder and CHOSEN!
