Anthem StatementD1This is a wonderful Anthem Statement D1. I compared it with the Anthem AVM-20 and wow wow! This is a sonically superior unit than the AVM. The sound is much much better on all channels. The DAC is ...1100.00
it costs over $4,000 on the original receipt in 2005.
Question asked how is it compare to the AVM line? I would say like comparing Toyota to Lexus.
I mean Statement line is Lexus and AVM line is Toyota ... :)
This is a wonderful Anthem Statement D1. I compared it with the Anthem AVM-20 and wow wow! This is a sonically superior unit than the AVM. The sound is much much better on all channels. The DAC is a clear winner. Audio from HD channels streaming with coax digital, or from blue ray, media player decoded in 5.1 or 2.0 channels sound so good that I forget about trying a DAC.
The unit virtually has one owner and very light used in the past. It is the latest version of D1 (v1.33). And the original receipt shows that it costs over $3,000 a few years back. It is available for serious buyer only. It is shipped with the original box (same serial number), power cord, antenna, manual book, remote, and also the fuse! The remote is basically brand new!!!
Cosmetically, there is a light scratch about 1.5 in on the top by the left end of the unit. You can't see it by standing a few feet away. You have to look very close to see the scratch. So I rated it 7/10 for that reason. Otherwise, it would be very close to 10/10 including the remote.
If you don't know about Anthem Statement D1/D2 pre/pro, you are missing big time for your home theater and sound setup. Please do a quick search and you will see how wonderful it is. Extremely easy to set up and very reliable. I have owned the Anthem pre/pro units in the last 8-10 years and I am going with it into the future.
