Aperion Audio S-10 Sub & 522D Monitors / Satellite / Subwoofer System

This is the Aperion Audio Sat/Sub system that is a great value, perhaps amazing considering they are in excellent condition and selling for only $250 plus shipping.

I'm deconstructing my home theater setup since I've moved to a 2 channel system - these are great Satellite's or a nice bookshelf system for a 2.1 setup.

Note: the Sub is powered but the 522D's are not - if you want to run these with a computer/laptop you'd still need something to drive the speakers.

You get TWO of the 522D monitors and one S-10 subwoofer.

The Intimus 522D 2-way bookshelf speaker features customized drivers specifically designed for use with Aperion’s enhanced DiAural crossover. Driver is a 1" soft dome tweeter and 5" cone midrange/woofer. Other improvements include upgraded gold-plated 5-way binding posts, a larger cabinet that extends bass response below 60Hz and an updated grill and they are magnetically shielded. Cabinetry is engineered for dynamic sound and clean aesthetics with a 1" thick HDF (high density fiberboard) enclosure that is internally braced and covered in real cherry wood. Intimus 522D loudspeakers sold for $180 each.

Aperiod Audio's S-10 powered custom 10" PVA-Damped subwoofer has a cone made of Poly Vinyl Acetate (PVA) treated paper. The result is a rigid and long-lasting driver that’s super fast with a natural response. The driver sports an anti-resonant steel frame, heavy duty butyl rubber surround, and superior high-excursion performance. The S-10 comes with a 200 watts of continuous class A/B power amplifier. The amplifier comes standard with line level and speaker level inputs/outputs, low pass crossover adjustment, phase adjustment, auto on/off switching, 110/220-volt switch, and a detachable power cord. Cabinet is made of 1-inch thick High Density Fiberboard (HDF) to eliminate unwanted cabinet vibrations. Of course the HDF cabinet has an internal, asymmetric bracing system that brings standing waves and resonance to near extinction. The subwoofer is wrapped in real cherry wood. When new it was $499.
