Audible Illusions Uranus 2 Tube Preamp by Bruce Moore modded by Ric Schultz with Outboard PSU

Please email me at [email protected] first. I would like to communicate with you before sending me offers. This is a vintage Audible Illusions Uranus 2 stereo tube preamplifier. Faceplate also says "Bruce Moore Signature Series". Supposed to be a very high-end preamp in its time. According to the previous owner, this preamp has modifications by Ric Schultz, that include outboard power supply in two boxes. The power switch is now moved to one of the PSU boxes. Also the inputs/outputs plugs in the back seem to be modded as well. There are 6 pieces of tubes, like RCA etc. Cosmetics are good, given the age (some 20 years?). No major concerns on the front; some marks on the top perforated metal cover. This is for 115VAC. Now, regarding operation. There are two power plugs, and lots of thick and thin cables/wires running between the three units. Some of the cables have outside shield broke open, and one thin wire is broken/cut. I cannot figure out why two power plugs, and become concerned with the condition of those cables. Given this situation, I have not plugged it in. So, here we are. This Audible Illusions Uranus 2 is up for grab. Not for someone like me who is simply incompetent doing anything. On the other hand, this is a very desirable vintage preamp. Very heavy, about 37 lbs packed. Shipping isn't cheap, particularly oversea.
