Audio Research PH-3 SE Phono Stage in good condition. No cosmetic defects I set at 7-10 condition just due to age. I am the original owner.
This is an original PH-3 SE from the factory not an upgraded version. Silver faceplate with black handles. Includes original box, manual, set of load resistors plus extra 6922 tubes in good condition.
The SE version has over 100 upgraded parts from the basic PH3. SE includes costly Infinicaps in both audio circuits and power supply regulators, high-performance soft-recovery rectifiers, Holco resistors in key locations, gold tube sockets, proprietary Audio Research damping rings, extended chassis damping, and more.
The unit is designed with special binding posts for soldering in load resistors to match load to your cartridge. Currently loaded to 1000 ohm. Extra resistors included for different loadings down to 25 ohm. The default setting with no loading resistors is 47K. 54 db gain will easily handle cartridges down to 2.5mv.
