Audio Research SP 9 -Hybrid preamp with phono-

This pre was used for less then a year from new before an upgrade to mk2 somewhere in the 90.
And it's been dorment in it's original double box ever since then.
Cosmetic, will be flawless if there's no tiny crease in the bottom right corner. I think it was from the factory.
All prints are intact, and no other scratches or dents. Never rack mounted.
The unit sang beautifully when I first pluged it in last week, better than I recall.
However, I replaced the Sprague filter cap with the excact value Sprague ATOM cap I happened to have on hand.
Although the pre was used for a short period of time back then, but considering the age, I think it's the right thing to do.
As you can see in the picture the different between 2 caps. I will also include the old working cap.
Some improvements are quite noticeable afterworth, with clearer mid and tighter bass.
But I think in time will be even better since I only played it for 20 hrs.
Further more you can always improve this by replacing the coupling caps as I did with my mk2.

Tubes are russian's 6DJ8s with a lot of life left, I will also include a pair of sweet sounding NOS 6n1p.

I will ship this with another box over the original double box.
