I have a Ref 150 coming, so this is for sale. I have used it with a Ref 3, Ref 5, and now a Ref 5se, and it has clearly shown the improvements with each preamp. The ARC tubes have 800 hours on them, so plenty of life left. Very good condition, with zero issues, no hum, buzz, or noise. Just turn it on and it sounds great. Serial number 06392033, which places it near the end of the run of VT100 mk 3's, in 2006. I have never heard a Ref 150, I only hope it sounds as good as this! Now packed and ready to ship!
The used average price on the mk3 is $3140 in the Audiogon Bluebook. The mk2 and the original are selling in the $2200 range. The mk3 amp has much more in common with the Ref 110, using jfet inputs and 6h30 supertubes, and is very simple to bias.
