The highly regarded AudioEngine A2 Speakers in black finish. Have been in use on my desktop for about a year, never moved, and are in excellent condition.
The A2 has turned into a quintessential, 'go-to' desktop speaker model for audiophiles. Forget the "budget" aspect. Theses are just great speakers, period! We have two pair in the house, and just love this speaker.
Have owned the A5's, and P4's as well, and the remarkable overall balance of this one is truly something special.
I can include a 6' run of Audio Art Cable SC-5 with spades to connect them up for an additional $35 (an $80 value). This is the very speaker cable that AudioEngine uses to demo all of their fine products at high-end audio trade shows.
"Upgrading" to a pair of John Blue 3 passives and a Class T amp. If I don't like what I hear, I'm sure I'll settle back in with another A2 pair.
