For sale is an Audiomat Phono 1.5 phono stage in excellent condition. I am the original owner and purchased it in 2009. It's a reference quality component that ranks as one of the best in terms of an organic/natural presentation.
Here is a review from UHF Magazine:
Here is the product page from Audiomat:
"Audiomat's Phono 1.5 relies strictly on carefully selected noiseless transistors of which all but two are glued together in pairs, to keep them at the same temperature and therefore stable. An external power supply attaches to the main unit via a four pin XLR plug. The rectifiers and filters are located in the main chassis. Two pairs of RCA connectors for MM and MC cartridges are provided with a switch to choose the appropriate one. The MC circuit adjusts itself automatically to the MC cartridge impedance."
"The Phono 1.5 total quietness allows micro-information to resurface, revealing imaging layers and hidden details of room acoustics. It sounds highly refined and reproduces instruments and timbres cleanly. It does not roll off frequencies on either extremeties and always sounds natural without a hint of brightness. Its sound is focused, real and smoothly controlled. The fastest transient attacks and the most subtle decays are respected."
