Bowers & Wilkins - B&W 805 Diamond w/stands, $4100 OBO. Purchased locally in January 2012. These are the highly regarded speakers with about 500 hours playtime at low to moderate levels. The 805 Diamond is the Winner of EISA High-end Loudspeaker award 2010-2011. Matching stands are bespoke B&W and screw to the speaker base. The stands also include leveling spikes, but are not required. All original boxes (save stands box), manuals, bi-wire jumpers and accompanying materials are included. 9/10 condition per Audiogon description - original owner.
The versatility of these speakers is tremendous, stereo and multichannel applications alike. The speakers disappear with deep and wide imaging. Mid Bass response is surprisingly good and they play well with receiver level power sources or dedicated amplifiers. All of the B&W 800 series are made in England with the highest level of quality control of the manufacturing process. Color: piano black lacquer.
