It breaks my heart to get rid of these bad boys but I recently moved across country and into a much smaller space and need to downsize. Gently used pair of the legendary flagship 801 Matrix Series 3 Loudspeakers in BLACK ASH (with Sound Anchor Stands) in excellent condition for sale.
I just moved to Rockville, MD and speakers are in my storage unit in Frederick, MD (zip 21704). The speakers were shipped - along with the remainder of my household items - by professional movers from my home in CA. these speakers are massive, and I do not have a truck so I am only selling to buyers who are willing and able to pick them up from my storage facility in Frederick, MD.

If these are packed up in a storage unit, I assume there is no possibility to audition them prior to buying? If so, are you willing to take them back and refund the money if they are found to be defective?
Photos do not show the cosmetic condition of the speakers since only part of the front is shown in each instance. Can you describe their condition scratches, dents, fit of grilles, etc?
Have these ever been repaired, tweaked or modified from factory original components?
Are all the drivers, metal mesh over tweeters and housings intact?
Consecutive serial numbers?
Do they work?

No, unfortunately they are packed up and in a storage unit. It will not be possible to audition them, but speakers are in perfect working condition. Yes, I am willing to take them back and refund if somehow defective under the following conditions: (1) buyer must have previous positive feedback on Audiogon; (2) buyer would have to communicate defective status within 48 hours of purchase; (3) I can personally come and verify that speakers are not working properly
Any cosmetic defects would be very minor - I do not have access to the speakers right now to perform an detailed examination, grilles fit perfectly.
Speakers have never been modified or repaired in any way. All the drivers and metal mesh over tweeters are intact.
I do not know if the serial numbers are consecutive. I never cared about this.
