This is deal for someone looking for vintage amps with high quality potted transformers, great sound and a 5 year warranty at a good price.
Retail on Custom Bruce Moore Amp would be over 10K
Transformer design has been considered an art rather then a science. Acro-sound Ultra-linear Transformers were designed for a high level of performance.
For details on why so many designers have used these transformers:
I have for sale is a pair of vintage Allen Organ Amps out of the late fifties early sixties. The amps have Custom potted Transformers with updated caps and resistors in key areas throughout.
The modification was done by Bruce Moore known for his designs at Bruce Moore Audio, MFA and Audible Illusions.
The Amps spec at with improved bandwidth from 10 Hz to 270 KHz. At low power and up to 50 KHz at full power 75 watts /channel
FYI the current Bruce Moore Designs we use similar transformers which cost about $300 to $600 each that is why you are getting a Bruce Moore Amp at a fraction of the price
Note: Auricap metallied polypropylene caps, Resista resistors Cardas RCAs and 5 way posts.
They have New KT120 Power Tubes or I will suppy them with Vintage 6550, Tungsol 6SN7 and Tesla 12AX7 tubes
Used these amps go for about $2000 /pair this pair has about $ 2K in upgrades including custom painted chassis
These are great sounding amp typical of Potted Transformers excellent bass, wide deep sound stage
