Canton Reference 5.2 Beauties!

I have been an audiophile for 20 years have owned over 30 pairs of speakers (B&W Diamond's, Meadowlarks Heron I's, Focal Utopia, etc...) travel to all of the big audio shows, worked in a high end audio salon for 12 years and can tell you that the Reference 5.2s are one of the world’s best speakers, regardless of price and will have you locked in your listening chair for hours! These speakers (And also the reference 9.2's turned me into a huge Canton fan.

The speakers are meticulously cared for and only touch with a lamb duster. They are in spotless condition, in a smoke free home, with all original packing, boxes, white cotton gloves (never used) and manuals.

Most speakers have lots of detail in this age of audio technology, but what makes these speakers magical is their scary good midrange presence, soundstage layering, a tweeter that sounds like real life and powerful tight bass. . With most speakers I’ve owned or demoed in salons in the past, I always had to search for music that sounded good on them, with these it’s a very rare occasion that something doesn’t sound real, dynamic and powerful (even at low volumes) The Reference 5.2s are simply off the charts. Recently a friend of mine (Audiophile with $22k speakers and I went to listen to the much praised Magico Q5s ($60K) running on VTL mono blocks at an Audio Salon in NYC. After about 15 minutes of intense listening by buddy made a statement that was already running through my head “they sound like your Reference 5.2’s” They are that friggin good!

On top of the mind blowing sound they are absolutely gorgeous in person and give you the feel that you have a grand piano in your room.

I’m selling these to upgrade to the 3.2’s and have my fingers crossed that I’m not making a huge mistake.
