CARTRIDGEMAN CONDUCTOR AIR-BEARING TONEARM WISA PUMP & SURGE TANK

Up for your consideration is my Conductor Air Bearing Tonearm manufactured by Len Gregory; the Cartridgeman. As you can see from the pictures it is in pristine condition. It may not look like other Conductors you may have seen and this was my intention. I had a chance to hear the Conductor a few years ago and from that time on I was hooked. I loved the arm but had always believed that I could improve upon its very industrial look. As you can see I have succeeded; IMHO.

To begin with I disassembled the arm and gave all pieces that could be polished to a machinist and told him to polish everything to a mirror finish ($125). I then sent the flat bar stock portions to be powder-coated with a Satin Black light speckled finish ($65). I then had the machinist fabricate the much larger base-mounting nuts. They are made of 316 Stainless Steel and I had the circumference knurled and the tops polished! ($215). The original nuts simply were not sufficient enough; again IMHO (the stock ones will be included).

I then added Discovery Wire w/Cardas Clips ($115) and made my own Stainless Steel Shielded Cable Protectors for the tonearm wire ($45). Finally I terminated w/Cardas RCA jacks ($65). In essence what you have is a straight-thru, from Cartridge Clips-to-Preamp, Transformer or connection! I have also installed a Cartridgeman Isolator ($150). It comes complete with the original wooden carrying case and the manual.

Also included is a WISA pump (220v), Surge Tank, Air Desiccant Dryer, Air Regulator, Air Line, and a NEW Voltage Step-Up Transformer. Finally to round out the package I’m including a NEW, HiFi News Test LP.
