Clearaudio Stradivari V2 moving coil cartridge.This cartridge and other audio components (advertised and sold separately) are being offered for sale due to a death in the family. It is in very good condition and was purchased new on June 30, 2015 by a non-smoking retired music teacher/musician. The V2 generation of Clearaudio MC cartridges represent top quality German craftsmanship and superior quality. The V2 generation features 8 magnets of the strongest structure generating a totally homogeneous magnetic field, something never done before. The cartridge is mechanically, magnetically, and electrically balanced. The gold coils are precisely positioned between 8 identically strong magnets. Two separate micro gold coils are then directly mounted at the cantilever and positioned to the front and rear sides of the pivot point, working in the same manner as an inside, homogeneous magnetic field. This results in extremely good linearity and the lowest distortion, with a dynamic range of up to 100dB. The vibrating elements are always in precision perfect balance, producing the same electrical level signal from both channels. The result is extremely good and far better channel separation than other MC cartridges. Efficiency (dynamics) is increased up to 30% more compared to conventional applications which provides more musical information from the sensible signal. The estimated playing time on this cartridge during the 16 months of use is about 320 hours (20 hours /month).
