This is an enormously rare original Koetsu Rosewood Longbody built by Yoshiaki Sugano himself. It has had a recent $2400 complete overhaul by Dominic Harper of Northwest Analogue, which included new coils, suspension, cantilever and a Fritz Gyger stylus.
The cartridge combines the best of both worlds - the musicality and dynamic scale from the original body and powerful Alnico magnets, married to amazing detail and dimensionality from the modern motor. There are no contemporary cartridges that compare.
It has seen approximately 50-100 hours of play since the rebuild, and it comes with the original box.
Possible trade for an Ortofon SPU Royal GM Mk II, 85th, 90th or 95th Anniversary considered.
