Lyra OLYMPOS SL unused! Brand new!

The best cartridge in the world? Many think so. As you know, almost impossible to get. I got mine brand new from Stig Borge himself. This is unopened box, never mounted. The pictures are the best i can do without removing it from the box, which unwilling to do.

The Olympos is a special edition with unique design. The body is machined out of solid titanium and the stylus is Lyra's top nude diamond stylus. SL means low output because single winding which gives more detail and resolution and speed that hard to imagine unless heard one.

why buy a ZYX or other cartridge when you can have the OLYMPOS?

When an Olympos is built, Yoshinori Mishima (original builder) takes the cartridge apart and starts from scratch. All wearable parts like dampers are replaced. Everything is cleaned. There is considerable 'voicing' by listening to music on LP and readjusting and tuning until it sounds right. It is incredible attention to detail. The magnets are of course so special they are unobtainable now.

This is much superior to ZYX at almost same price or Coralstone that much more expensive. A rare opportunity only because i am downsizing.

The Olympos is a limited edition in the Lyra line. They are now producing the Atlas, but if you go to WHAT'S BEST forum or Audiogon, you will see people with Cost No Object systems, such as Syntax,
very experienced people, choosing the Olympos SL over the other.
