Gold Paradox Pulse R Sapphire This is the pinnacle of what can be done with the 103R motor. My stock is small and if the color you want is not in stock expect 4 week wait. Load at 600 ohms and the universe will seem different some how. Worth $10k sold for $1k.
For those that think this cartridge will be too heavy you're wrong, *Denon publishes their dynamic compliance specifications relative to 100Hz . The actual compliance at 10Hz will be higher. Weight ~16 grams, track at 2.5 grams, .3mv output MC.
This Pulse cartridge will work with ALL tonearms.
All you need is more weight for the counterbalance. Your tonearm manufacture sells heavier weights and even Ebay sells larger and heavier weights for various tonearms, but I like to add lead tape (the kind for golf clubs and racquets) as it damps the arm along with the added mass.
This is the new Paradox Pulse R Sapphire cantilever nude line contact diamond moving coil phono cartridge. In MATCHED channels .3mv both left and right.
It is Denon 103R based but the Pulse takes it to another level with it's lead micro damping rigid shell, and epoxy. The stylus guard is able to function as originally intended to prevent accidental damage.
The billet T-6 material that Paradox uses promotes coupling and reduces mechanical resonances, is manufactured in the USA along with the bodies and their anodizing.
The Pulse is offered in GOLD anodizing.
These cartridges bring a new level of resolution and transparency to your musical experience.
All frequencies and the extremes are more detailed and dynamic, the warmth and textures, body if you will, are much improved over the stock unit. The whole musical event is more alive and realistic, allowing you to get completely lost in the moment.
No etched, harsh, or manufactured sounds here just musical enjoyment.
There is no better Denon mod anywhere period and not many other cartridges can compete with this one no matter what the price.
I do not understand all the open air cartridges on the market they are just exposing them to resonations and not getting a great coupling to the motor assembly.
Both the perimeter and the internal assembly have lead shot encapsulated within 40 pieces in all, only ~16 grams total.
I bought this cartridge new (as I do for all my products) potted it and broke it in for 100 hours as this is the minimum for a Denon motor to sound proper. The Sapphire cantilever is then installed making this Pulse R ready for your immediate enjoyment.
There is much information about the Pulse modifications on my website paradoxpulse and I can modify your Denon motor also into one of my Pulse Guard bodies..
Thanks for looking
