Here's my original Zyx Universe cart (copper .24mV, with silver base and attached nuts) that I've been using for about two years.  It DOES have a skewed cantilever (not sure how it happened) but it still sounds great (about 85-90%
of original), the diamond tip is super sharp (see pic I managed to grab
of it), tracks well, and certainly sounds better than any other $1500
cart out there.  There is nothing lacking in this cart as far as sound,it is classic Universe sound:  super transparent, wide frecuency spectrum, nice taught bass...but the wonky cantilever does mean that you will have to fiddle with azimuth and VTA to coax the most out of it.  In other words, on an arm with no azimuth adjust, you may have a slight channel imbalance, for example.  I would prefer to sell along with my Triplanar arm (also listed) as it is a perfect match for this particular cart and it sounds great.  And I am offering it at a discount if the two are bought together.

While it still sounds great as is, other options down the line include:  trading it in to Sorasound for half off a new Universe II (or any lesser Zyx cart), or if it ever dies completely you can always have it rebuilt by Zyx (Mehran at Sorasound said it would probably be minimum $1200 fyi).

I have everything original and will cover domestic insured ground and PP fee.

Thanks,

Mike

Questions for the seller
Hi. Any chance to describe how many degrees is it skewed, or post a pick? Thank you
Hi, I did my best to get close up pics. Did they load? They did for me. I just looked at them and I feel as though they would probably do a way better job than my words! But here's a description that might help: The cut out of the cartridge's clear plastic shell in the front from which the cantilever extends out has a certain width, maybe 2MM it looks like(?). When looking head on at the cart, the right side of the cantliver/stylus is almost lined up with the right edge of the cut out, if that make sense. If you were to follow the right edge of that cut-out down and continue it to make an imaginary line, the cantilever would almost touch that imaginary line, on the right side. So it skews to the right about a MM or so from center. Hope that helps! Mike
