Cary CAD 40 MK II Killer classic amps

I am reluctantly selling my beloved pair of Cary CAD 40 MKII amps that offer a stunning combination of great looks and sound. These amps put out 40 watts of pure class A sound from two EL34 output tubes and play much larger than their power rating indicates. Among the various versions of these amps, including the later CAD50s, these are considered the best due to their sweet transparent sound. The other versions are good, but the MKII version of the CAD40s offer a touch of magic missing in the others. Built quality is high and maintenance is simple due to the availability of the EL34 output tubes which are among the least expensive output tubes on the market. Rating is primarily due to age with the only flaw on the amps being a partially smeared badge on top of one of the transformer covers. One of the input tubes is missing the guide pin, but I can mark it for easy installation. I do not have the original boxes but can ship these amps within the lower 48 states.
