For those of you that have seen some of my previous ads where I stated "watch for more gear..." well I am finally starting to clear some time to take pictures and start posting pieces from my massive collection lol. Here we have an excellent and highly sought after Carver SD/A 490t Vacuum Tube Reference CD Player. This unit has fairly low hours, just had a new loading belt installed and the volume control cleaned with de-oxit (was slightly scratchy). It seems to have the original 6DJ8 tubes in it, and there is no hiss, hum, or any other indications that the tubes are worn at all. It's in a very solid 8 condition in my opinion. One of my sanity checks for any CD player is whether it can play CDR's with high amounts of music, as in >70 minutes and to add more stress to the test if the CD is scratched up and it still plays well that's generally a sign of a healthy laser. Of course there are other signs, like fast tracking and so on. This Carver plays everything I have thrown at it without hesitation, it just works like it is supposed to and sounds amazing. The reason for selling it is because I just have way too much gear. I literally have at least 10 other CD players. Anyway, these are selling for my asking price on eBay without the remote, and who knows the actual health of the unit? This one I assure you is very healthy, you will not be disappointed. Sadly, because of some people who like to cause trouble, I have added security seals to the unit in the rare event that it should arrive DOA (not likely!) and need to be returned. Some people seem to think they can swap out good parts and then return the unit as defective later. This is being sold as fully functional as described, and I will get it to you in the same condition it is in now, but I am not accepting returns since the funds from this are needed for other purposes. Please don't purchase if you aren't 100% sure you want this. It's from a non smoking home, so no worries there either.

I set the shipping (FedEx ground insured for full value) at a low $35 for the lower 48 states only, inquire if you want it shipped outside of the lower 48 as it will be more expensive. If for some reason it happens to be less, I will refund the difference, if it's more I absorb that. I also do not charge additional PayPal fees, what you see is what you will pay.
